Disabling video autoplay in Brave browser

To turn off autoplay videos in the Brave browser, you have the option to disable it entirely for all websites or to block it on specific sites.

Desktop browser

To stop autoplaying videos in the desktop Brave version, you can follow these steps:

Go to the Brave browser settings by typing brave://settings/content/autoplay in the address bar or Settings, Site and shields settings, Permissions, Additional permissions, Autoplay (block sites from autoplaying videos).
Select the default behavior Allow sites to autoplay videos or Block sites from autoplaying videos to restrict autoplaying videos.
You can also add specific sites to the Allow or Block list to customize autoplay settings for individual websites.

To stop autoplaying videos in the mobile Brave version, you can follow these steps:

Go to the Brave three dots, Settings, Site settings, Autoplay section.
